So last night's 3rd Annual Brooklyn Dinner Party was a success. This year was Indian food, and the menu went something like this:

Spicy Almonds
Dal
Braised Chick Peas
Cumin Potatoes
Basmati Rice
Green Pea Pilaf
Spicy String Beans
Lamb with Spinach
Banana-Coconut Yogurt Salad
Mint Chutney
Indian Salsa
Nan
Cranberry Apple Pie (no, not Indian)
Chai

It was really good to see everyone. It was really good to have a bunch of people I like in my apartment at once. It's really good to have leftovers in my refrigerator.

For my golden birthday I got a brand spanking new mini-stereo, so I can finally get rid of the big black plastic boombox I've been coaxing into continued use for the past 7 years. The new one's got wooden speakers and a remote (I am so digging the remote) and this kickass glide panel that slides forward to become flush with the knobs at the push of a button for a space-age streamlined effect. Oh and it sounds so nice. Finally, finally, music the way I've been needing to hear it. Any day now I'll get over the novelty of standing in my kitchen and using the remote to slide the glide panel back and forth for kicks. Any day now.

My brother mentioned that it was annoying to have no choice but to read these entries chronologically backwards, so I've added the list you see to the right. Jordan, now you can read them in whatever order you desire. Knock yourself out.

Tonight my uncle lent me the following three movies:

Cat Women of the Moon (in 3D)
Robot Monster (in 3D)
The Mask (in 3D), hosted by Elvira, Mistress of the Dark

And I've got 5 pairs of 3D glasses. Oh yes I do.
